Why do you think Eurydice died of a snake bite instead of something else? Is the snake bite symbolic ?
To begin with, the snake represent evil. The snake bite fits perfectly with the point of the story. If she were to bitten by a certain breed of dogs, it can represent good things such as a faithful friend. In my religion even snakes are represented as something evil such as an enemy,sneakiness , jealousy and fight. The snake bite was targeted at her ankle and that proves how it had to do with her beauty and innocent. Also, what I find interesting is that in my religion us women cover up” to our ankles to cover our beauty in whole”.

Actions are the main way we get a sense for the minor characters in the story. For example, the language the kids were using throughout the story seem to be disrespectful and impoliteness. The nasty things/names they used to call their grandma and strangers. Including their father ( Bailey) loses his temper a lot and appear to be fond and saying shut up. Also , the grandmother used to mention weird things about her life and her old house. There were a lot grotesque and exaggerated things about these characters. For intense, the old grandma wanted to see her old house so they drove all the way down there as soon as they got there the grandmother remembers that the house is actually in Tennessee nowhere near where she said it was. However, the narrator explained the possibility of dramatic transformation in a person such as the grandmother’s personality against the misfit. She just lost all her family and threatened with death herself, the old grandmother appears to undergo a sudden and miraculous change of heart. She reaches out lovingly to the very person who has killed those she loves and tells him that he’s her baby.
