Technology makes us more alone?
According to Sherry Turkle Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology at the M.I.T. “We expect more from technology and less from each other.” Technology has been distracting us from each other and making us negatively focus on ourselves. Smartphones, laptops, and tablets have been disconnecting us from our community and the real world. Technology has made it possible to arrange our life through one gadget. For example, it lets us become lazy and do less outdoor activities with friends and family, and instead, we consume all our time on one gadget. This has a negative effect and it makes us more disconnected from each other. This research paper will refute the claim that 21st century technology is bringing the world together. On the contrary, through 24/7 connectivity, individuals and societies are finding themselves more alone than ever. Our isolation is growing rather than dissipating through smartphones, video games, and social network.

Firstly, smart phones are controlling, disconnecting, and negatively affecting the people through applications available in these smart phones such as social networks and games. Secondly, when video games are overused they are addicting, time-wasting, and creating anti-socialism. Thirdly, social networking is increasing cyber bullying, creating obsession and deception to its users.
