The 1920s was an era that saw many different developments in the United States. In my opinion, I think that these newfound developments modernized the United States. The United States was full of innovation and changes because the 20s took place right after world war 1. This was one of the first times in the United States that new technology like this became prominent. Americans owned cars, radios, and telephones for the first time. There were also things like moving pictures and tons of other new developments that allowed the 1920s to become modernized or known as the modern age. In my opinion, I think that technology led to these new developments. Cars and telephones were two new developments that allowed the United States to elevate and significantly changed our nation which is why I think that they held a big part in the modernization of the United States. …show more content…

This car, the model T, held a big percentage of new car sales at this time. I think that this piece of technology solely changed the way Americans lived their everyday life because it was a very new and improved way to drive or travel. Before Henry Ford’s car, railroads was were most transportation took place. With Ford's new development, it allowed Americans to cut travel time down probably by half. The automobile also created jobs throughout the country, whether it was production factories for the Model T itself, or it was just that because most Americans now had cars and they could get to their jobs in a more efficient way. Overall, this new development led to the modernization of the United States because eventually, it led to more new developments as there are over 150 car and automobile manufacturers in the United States
