Our society treats a college education as a pathway to success. It is seen as a way to get the right job, an amazing salary, and the perfect life. Everyone wants it, but yet, not everyone can have it. This is because of the rising cost of higher education. This is a very important problem because students across the country are not able to afford the costs of college, and therefore cannot receive the education that they not only want, but need in order to excel. The rapid cost of higher education is caused by the reduction of government-funded subsidies. The program that we have now is not fulfilling their role in reducing student debt.
