The 1920s or The Roaring Twenties was an era of social and political change. There was a dramatic change and many Americans lived in cities, rather on the farm. The country’s wealth doubled between 1920 and 1929. In the book The Roaring Twenties, author Hal Marcovitz describes the roaring twenties at its finest for many American this period of time. There were many years of party where new cultural, invention and discovering such as jazz, flapper and the eighteenth amendment result of banning of alcohol which led to lawlessness by making illegal bar. This is very awkward phrasing. This book shows reader picture of the styles and parties that were iconic to the roaring twenties.

After you read this book, reading The Great Gatsby will be much easier and more relatable. Historical fiction and stories set in a particular time period nearly always have more meaning when the historical context is understood. Good point.Notably, the book breaks down the time period and also illustrates fashion, social difference within the book. The Roaring Twenties are known for their fashion, the author explains in the nineteen twenties fashion was all about comfort; male pants were wider at the bottom and women stopped wearing corset and tight dresses and dress that showed their ankle thus the name of flapper was born a woman who skirt is high, stay out late, and smoke in addition to drinking. Again, good points. Just be careful with your sentence structure and grammar.
This book also sheds light on events that happened after Roaring Twenties, a decade that includes the Great Depression. Furthermore, historians believe because of the stock market crash, many foreign investment dumped American stock which made the road for Americans to pull their money out of stock market and buying on margin which has damaged effect on America's credit. As result the stock market crash within month tens of billion dollars were lost there’s still debate whether stock market was the main reason but many historians believe it
