Have you ever wondered what Genetic Engineering for a designer baby is? Well there are so many things to know about it. First of all, you need to know what traits any parent is allowed to choose for their baby. You can choose the gender, appearance such as (hair color, eye color,etc.) also Intelligence, disease, and personality. A designer baby is a genetically modified embryo that can have a 3rd donor. Anyone can have a designer baby no matter what gender the parents have. This what a designer baby is and what you can choose for your own designer baby. As many other things designer babies have pros and cons. There are so many pros and cons to go over so let’s begin with the pros. The pros of having a designer baby are that the can reduce the risk of genetic diseases. This means that the baby will have a less chance of getting diseases more than others. Also they can reduce the risk of inherited medical conditions. So whatever the generation of the parents had the baby won’t have the parent choose the baby not to have. One con is that there can be a termination of embryos. This means a miscarriage and that wouldn’t be good because you would pay so much money for the baby and the baby could die. There is also another con and that is that there is a possibility of there being damage to the gene pool. In other word this means that it can increase or decrease the genes in the baby and the next generation. Also the genetics of the baby can come out imperfect. Even though nobody is perfect in the world and you thought that designing a baby to try to make it perfect, it does not always work that way. The last con is that only the rich can afford to make a designer baby. This is a con because if the mom can't have babies it would be too expensive to make one and the gay parents will have no baby even if they wanted to.These were just a few cons to having a designer
