Abortion is a very controversial topic amongst everyone in today’s world. Many argue for or against it and whether it should be legal or illegal. Many women have questions about it and what it is like, while others think it is murder. What constitutes for murder? At what gestational age could abortion be considered murder?
Abortion has been around and performed for thousands of years all around the world in different societies. From the very first settlers in the United States it has been legal to be performed. It is said that around the third week after conception, the neural tube from which the brain and spinal cord develop in the womb. In a rapid, developing set of movements all the important parts of the brain are in place by eight weeks. From this foundation, brain parts will send out branches and establish billions of Nero connections necessary for nervous system to work as it should. It is evident that abortion is a woman’s right to have, just as it is evident at what age it should be considered to be murder for waiting too long to have the procedure. If a woman is going to take the risk to have sex than she should know that a potential pregnancy comes with it.
