According to the American Psychological Association (APA) (2010), clinical neuropsychology relates ideas and theories of assessment and intervention to the relationship between behavior and central nervous system functioning. Clinical neuropsychology works towards applying the associations of behavior to complications encountered by humans. Clinical neuropsychology also, has various major functions, job requirements, and differences when compared to other APA specialties. To be a qualified clinical neuropsychologist, individuals must follow an accredited training pathway as outlined in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme decided by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) (2010).
