P4: Outline key legalisation and regulation which govern safeguarding work. I am in charge of a charity that runs a small care home and adult placement scheme for people with mental health problems. A committee of volunteers oversees the charity’s work. A new member has been elected to the committee and has a meeting with you to find out more about the home and fostering scheme and how they are run. There are numbers of legislation and regulation that have been created in order for people to safeguard vulnerable adults. These laws are passed by authority like the parliaments. Adult placement offers people those who are classed as havinglearning disability, but they are also seen as helping older people and also people who suffer with mental health issue being ananother; this is seen as being a highly flexible form of accommodation and person-centred support, which can be provided by an average individuals or families in the (adult placement carers) who are based within the local community. As this is seen as enabling the individuals to be able to share and experience the life of the adult placement carer they are living with.Adult placement carers are seen as providing long- and also short-term accommodation and adults support within their own environment that they are conformable with, with the majority of carers in the scheme are there to be providing services to one, or at the most two people, also people at any one time.Adult placement carers are seen as being members of the adult placement schemes. The PVG has a list of adults who are barred from working with vulnerable adults. PVG also ensure that those people who are working with protected adults through paid and unpaid work do not have a history containing harmful behaviour as enhanced DBS is done. In the small care home a person who has history of committing harmful behaviour should have an enhanced DBS check and they should not be employed to work with these people. The sexual offences Act 1976 Sex offences are crimes that are covered by the Sexual Offences Act. This legislation main principle is they will check that sex offenders are monitored and that vulnerable people are protected.
