Eva Benitez And Anne Frank

406 Words2 Pages
Having hope is important because it gives people the courage to do the right thing. Eva Benitez and Anne Frank both had to go through hard times. Eva had to choose to or not to do the right thing. Anne was trying to figure out what to do while in hiding. Their courage and willing to work hard wavered sometimes, but they always had hope. Both “The Diary of Anne Frank,” and “Freedom Writers” show how it’s important to have hope even in the hardest times. To compare some ideas, Anne writes in her diary to pass the time, but she has to hope that someday she will get out of the annexe and the war will be over (Anne Frank). Eva writes in her notebook that Ms. Gruwell gave her to hope that Ms. Gruwell would understand her story more (Freedom Writers).
