Exam 3 You may think war is very advanced in today’s world, but the whole reason it is, is because countries have learned how to make their warfare more efficient from the past wars. With countries learning over time from their experiences and other country’s experiences it has helped shape the world it is today, while changing their views of warfare and how they approach it. The time I am going to evaluate is the early 1900’s to the year of 1945. I am going to explain what the wars were fought over, then I will make my way to what kind of war tactics were used and how efficient it was in this time frame. We’ll also learn about the advancement of weaponry and technology. These examples together will show how our world is shaped today. With the researching I have done, I have come across many articles that say the main cause of the first world war was an assassination. In my notes, I had written down that it was the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand. I recently took a history class at Utah State University and in the lectures, and what I have written in my notes the causes were Italian fascism, the Japanese invasion on China along with their militarism, and when Hitler got into office in 1933 with his Nazi party and the aggressive foreign policy that came with it. Britain and France declared war on Nazi Germany when they invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. After we have discussed the causes of each war, we can kind of see a similar trait in how the world doesn’t want a country to come in and bully other countries. We even see that politics are still a main issue in the causes of war
