World War ll was a very devastating time. During WW2, the US spent 20,388 US $ on each soldier. Germany had a total military loss of 4,429,875 men during WW ll. WW ll was the most destructive conflict in history. It cost more money, damage, and caused more deaths than any other war in history. It established 1.5 million children died during the Holocaust. Just before 8 a.m. on Dismember 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii. The greatest loss of life ever sustained by the U.S. Navy occurred on July 30, 1945. The USS Indianapolis was shot by Japanese submarine l-58.
