poster analysis - everyone is welcome
My Australian poster is what I think current Australia looks like. Each different section represents a part of Australia. I decided to call my poster "everyone is welcome" and my poster focuses mainly on the diversity of Australia and how everyone no matter where they come from is welcome in Australia. As we should should share our beautiful country with the rest of the world.
"Australian refugees" In the top left corner there is a young women were a hijab and in the background is a average Australian house in the suburbs. I chose this because recently we have had a lot of refugees and immigrants from the Middle East, it is a big part of Australia's identity now. I deciding to draw the sunset because I think Australia has some really beautiful sunsets and it's one of the things I personally love about Australia. The previous generation had a lot of Chinese immigrants come to Australia, back then it was a lot harder to come into and now their children are being born in Australia and growing up but they still have their culture with them making Australia a very diverse place.
"Tradition owners" The bottom left corner represents the traditional owners of Australia, aboriginals. The flying 'M's in the background is the dream time story how the birds got their colours. The background is Ayers Rock, most indigenous Australians do live in the suburbs but Ayers Rock and surrounding dessert is one of the one places left that hasn't been claimed by 'white people' most of it it's still untouched.
