Donna Hamilton a criminologist says poor correctional facilities and constant police harassment are major causes of persistent criminality in the region. Speaking to this writer, Hamilton says little has been done by the central and county government to improve on state of correctional facilities which instead of producing reformed criminals, it rears hard-core criminals. “I expect to be guided, I am mentally ill and I need mental healing to improve on my behavior, if I am taken through torture and harassment that will only make me more aggressive.” he says. “The society has a negative attitude with the police which was built in the past.

The current justice system is examined as well and is decided that many changes need to be made. The idea proposes that much of the punishment system is too forgiving and that our system should be more firm to assure a smaller crime rate. The second viewpoint presented stated that reconstruction should be lenient.
This novel highlights the fact of the injustices people of color are faced with in everyday life. In the introduction of this book, Michelle Alexander highlights the criminal justice system and how rather than identifying people by their race, people of color are labeled as criminals. I believe the criminal justice system, racial caste, ideology, and global examples of racial caste are all connected to racial inequality. I feel that the race and criminal justice system are connected on the basis that people of color are seen as unequal when compared to Caucasians. In the reading the author provides good examples of how officers are well trained at defending against claims of racial bias in policing.
Criminal Justice System is a system made up of several agencies and processes to control crime and impose penalties for the commission of crimes. There are three agencies that make-up the criminal justice system, which are federal, state and local agencies. Each of those agencies process offenders differently but they as are linked together. However, there are three major components of the criminal justice system, which are law enforcement, courts, and corrections.
How would the criminal justice be different today if the founding fathers had decided not to create a separate system of federal courts and instead allowed federal laws to be enforced? I believe society established by the state cause different the governmental laws itself reinforced in the judicial system determined witch governmental action criminals who preform a extreme crime there punishment would be less severe some states would had grater or fewer security towards those who are accused. We would experience in our country absolute regulations have fragile states Out of government judicial system indicating the government experience diversity away from the states I believe effective legislation presently executed by the government bring
The criminal justice system is a complex and challenging system to reform. As S Liu and TC Halliday point out in their 2009 article in Law & Social Inquiry, the criminal justice system has many components that must interact for reform to be successful. These components include the police, the courts, the prosecutors, and the corrections system. In addition, the criminal justice system is influenced by the surrounding politics and
America’s criminal justice system need to make a change. We are constantly wasting millions of dollars on prison cells that won’t even be needed if they gave citizens who broke the law quick and easy punishments. In our society today many youths are being sentenced harsh punishments due to petty crimes, these harsh punishments include five or more years in prisons. Our criminal justice system is just plain corrupted and unreasonable. Judges show give fast punishments which are less severe to citizens who has broke small laws.
In this paper, I will be discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the Community and Reform Eras. Both of these eras are much different in how they approach policing. In the next five years, I believe that new technology will play a large part in policing. The Community Era or Community-Oriented Policing can be traced back to the 1980’s and is still used today.
Topic: The role that police have in the criminal justice system. Summary: This week we covered the role police in the criminal justice system specifically focusing on police discretion and the impact on marginalized groups. I found throughout this topic it built on my understanding of roles that police have in society, and how police deal with offenders, in particular minor cases before the court process. The works of Chapel and Wilson also broadened my knowledge as they where the studies that concluded that policing is a “vital component of governing a contemporary society” (Palmer, 2012).
Imagine a life without lessons that teach us and help us grow. We can learn life lessons from just about everything we do. The Odyssey is an epic about a man named Odysseus on his journey back home. In this book, Odysseus learns his lesson a few times from doing actions he should have been more careful about. (Gabby) One lesson that applies to both the Odyssey and people today is that your choices can have bad consequences if you don’t choose wisely.
During this era crime prevention program were funded for the community and police put together. This sort of policing is a plan focused on building ties and working closely with the people in our community to identify and settle problems. Community policing also target low level crime and disorder. I feel this current era perspective was formed because Reform Era and Political Era were not in good grace with citizenship. Both eras’ had outstanding records of misconduct and excessive force toward citizens.

Origin and History of the Criminal Justice System The Criminal justice system is a system that was made to control crime and make punishments to whoever break a law or rule. The beginning of the criminal justice system of the United States goes all the way back when the United States still belonged to the Great Britain. Americans were under Great Britain laws and rules and most of the laws were unfair. After the Revolutionary War and the United States became independent and they needed to create their own types of system to run their country.
There are three components that make up the criminal justice system – the police, courts, and correctional facilities – they all work together in order to protect individuals and their rights as a citizen of society to live without the fear of becoming the victim of a crime. Crime, simply put is when a person violates criminal law; the criminal justice system is society’s way of implementing social control. When all three components of the criminal justice work together, it functions almost perfectly. For a person to enter the criminal justice system, the process must begin with the law enforcement.
