Imperialism once troubled America; and is still the case with many regions around the world. Efforts to secede from ones country have been accomplished many times throughout humanities history yet the same efforts in other regions often developed to nothing but further friction and division. Groups of people deserve to decide whether they choose to remain a part of a country or be self-determined. Instead of being tormented with the possible social, economic, political, aggression, and cultural issues that could potentially come from imperialism.

In the Northern tip of Africa the country of Morocco clashed it out with a European country. After the 100 years war France turned the attention towards Morocco. An issue with both of the countries initiated the Franco-Moroccan war; declared in1844. France ultimately won the war and the treaty of Tangers was signed. After the war was over France continued to find opportunities to annex Morocco as when of their own. Eventually many of France had already occupied northern morocco and was put under the protection under French rule in 1912 through the treaty of Fez the French laid a protector over Morocco this treaty ended Morocco’s reality as a completely independent country and gave France all control over Moroccan affairs; ultimately this lead to French culture assimilating in Morocco.
