How the skill could be useful in business: Receiving feedback is useful in business because it provides verbal and nonverbal cues on how well information is being received. During a speech the crowd yawning or looking at the clock could provide feedback that you are losing the audience’s attention and need to wrap up soon whereas head nods and smiles could indicate understanding. Giving feedback is important in business because it lets others know how they are doing and provides a manager opportunity to redirect staff in a positive and non-threatening manner.
