When a person is convicted of false allegations, who are they to tell him he is guilty. In To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Mr Bob Ewell is accused of many false claims. Bob Ewell is not guilty of the false statements of bigotry, injustice, prejudice, and lack of tolerance that he has been accused of. Bob Ewell was accused of being a bigot, acting intolerant, and showing prejudice although none of these qualities have ever been shown by him. Bob Ewell and his family have had a poor and rough life and have never received any help, “Maycomb’s Ewells lived behind the town garbage dump in what was once a Negro cabin. The cabin’s plank walls were supplemented with sheets of corrugated iron, its roof shingled with tin cans hammered flat, so only its general shape suggested its original design: square, with four tiny rooms opening onto a shotgun hall, the cabin rested uneasily upon four irregular lumps of limestone.“(227). The court has accused him of many of these allegations and continues to show none of them, therefore these are false. He has always had a hard life and has never gotten help from anyone. Yes, he has been an alcoholic but has never gotten help from anyone in the town to help him with it. One time he spit in Atticus’ face, but it wasn’t on purpose, it was an accident. He was just at a corner and had to spit and so he did and Atticus had just so happen to walk around when it happened. It wasn’t on purpose at all, it was just a coincidence. Bob Ewell is one of the nice guys in town and just needs some help with his struggles. The town has known what he has dealt with for many years and never bothered trying to help him out or even help his family find a better
