For my Kindergarten Practicum hours I was placed at Purvis Lower Elementary. My host teacher was Mallory Anderson. 1. In Mrs. Anderson’s class there were 18 students. There were 9 boys and 9 girls. There were more white students then African American. Mrs. Anderson only had two students who were considered to be inclusion students. For their inclusion it was more like tutoring. The students would be pulled out of class to go have their tutoring. 2. Mrs. Anderson’s classroom was very organized. She had the materials label. Each group of students had their own box with their labeled crayons. Mrs. Anderson’s classroom was very warming. She also used essential oils in her room. I love to use the oils. The students were always excited and ready to learn new things. The students were always very involved in the classroom. Mrs. Anderson makes sure she always gives each student a turn to talk and participate. The students are taught to treat their classmates like they want to be treated. The students are always sharing kind words with one another. Mrs. Anderson taught the students to give each other thumbs up when someone does a good job. The students have very creative minds. They always come up with the funniest stories to tell. They are also very social. The students always want to talk and be involved in conversation. Mrs. Anderson does a great job with allowing the students to talk without getting to loud. 4. Mrs. Anderson has a strong bond with her students. The students know that they have to respect her, but they also know they can have fun. Mrs. Anderson always shows love and affection to all of her students. 5. I observed that the students to feel comfortable in their classroom. I saw a few times, students were able to work together to complete a task given. The students always express what they are
