Can you combine sentences and/or make it shorter? Can you use better vocabulary or sentence structure? Example: To begin with, John Proctor’s main downfall can be interpreted as his pride. For example, in page 100, he refused to sign and admit that he was a witch. This led to his downfall because he had excessive pride in his name as everyone considered him a righteous man and he refused to admit that he was wrong. If he had admit he was wrong, the events that led to his guilt (which led to his downfall) would've been gone. He also lusted for Abigail Williams which created an affair and that is another downfall. Fixing errors: It’s better to replace common words like wrong , and gone with words like at fault, and nonexistent. The word admit in sentence 3 is redundant as it was used already in sentence 2 and later 4. Admit could be replaced by acknowledge. The last sentence that mentions Abigail Williams should not be in the paragraph as it does not relate or support the topic sentence whatsoever.
