Utopia vs Dystopia, who wins?

Some people have a misconception between Utopia and Dystopia. Utopia means an imaginary society, an ideal place or state. Dystopia is mostly set in the future but evil. Utopia is like heaven, where everything is holy and nothing is evil. While dystopia is like the underworld, not the movie but the underworld is full of negativities and wicked.A recent example of a dystopian novel is The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins in 2008. Some basic elements for dystopia such as banishment and a restricted society. Jonas’ society is restricted and boring, each family must contain 4 members. Mom, dad, a boy and a girl and they aren’t blood related. Each family unit have to share their feelings and thoughts every night. Children and adults mustn't leave their dwelling at night for safety reasons as well as everybody in the community have the same punishment. Release. Jonas’ society is dystopian because it’s rules and regulations are harsh to the citizens everything is set in the future and there is disparity and hardships in Jonas’ society.

People should have pretty much the same vision as everyone in the community. They control the climate to have sameness. Sameness always brings Jonas to awareness that in Jonas’ first memory about the snow and sled, he feels his skin tingling and his cold tongue and inquires the Giver regarding the memory. The community decided to change the climate to create discomfort for the general public.The author says “...pinpricks? No, because they were soft and without pain. Tiny, cold, featherlike feelings peppered his body and face. He put his tongue again, and caught one of the dots of cold upon it”. (Lowry 102).
