Renaissance not shown in the movie because it did not show ancient knowledge. In the movie, they did not use any paintings or drawings that show that the movie effectively portrayed the Renaissance.
Renaissance is about human capabilities but it was not shown because even if Dr. Frankenstein created life he was not able to control the feelings of the monster and we can see that his work is not successful. Therefore, Renaissance is not actually portrayed in the movie.
