In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Friar Laurence is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because he made unwise decisions and he is irresponsible. First, Friar Laurence is to blame because he made unwise decisions throughout the play. For example, when Romeo went to talk to the Friar about his new love, he offered a solution that was rushed and would never work. Have you ever thought “who’s fault is it really in Romeo and Juliet?” I think it is the Friar Lawrence, he’s most responsible because even though Romeo and Juliet came up with the idea marriage, the friar was the one who followed through with their idea. So first, he let them and married them. Second, he arranged Juliet’s fake death. Third he didn’t get the note to Romeo fast enough.

Friar Laurence is the one to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet because he is the one who gave the poison to Juliet and he didn't communicate his plan to Romeo. Juliet was unsure whether the friar was being honest with her about the sleeping potion.
But when Friar Lawrence tells Juliet his plan he tells her to commit a false suicide. “If, rather than to marry County Paris, thou hast the strength of will to [slay] thyself, then is it likely thou wilt undertake a thing like death to chide away this shame, that cop’st with death himself to ‘scape from it; and if thou darest, I’ll give thee remedy. ”(4.1.72-77).“I’ll send a friar with speed to Mantua with my letters to thy lord. ”(4.1.125-126). The Friar’s plan also has a fault in that the other Friar may not arrive on time to deliver the necessary message.
There are several people that could be blamed for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet however, Friar Lawrence is the one who is truly to blame for Romeo and Juliet's deaths. He is most to blame out of all people for many obvious reasons. One of the mistakes Friar Lawrence made was the idea of Juliet faking her death. Others may say that the idea of Juliet faking her death was smart because it gave her the chance
Imagine a trusted counselor who betrays others by giving terrible advice. In Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, a similar situation occurs among Friar Lawrence, Romeo, and Juliet. The opposition believes that Friar Lawrence would not be responsible and it would be Romeo and Juliet’s fault due to do the several years of the hatred toward the two families. Friar Lawrence’s first mistake was allowing Romeo and Juliet to be able to be married so quickly without thinking it through. The Friar had intentions hoping that if he married Romeo and Juliet, it may save the family feud and put it past the families. In the play Friar Lawrence
Friar Lawrence was the one to blame throughout the entire story. Although Friar Lawrence was just trying to help throughout the whole story, he was just causing problems that led to Romeo and Juliets death. The one problem was just miscommunication between Friar Lawrence, Friar John, and Romeo. “Who bar my letter, then, to Romeo?”(S.S, pg. 470).
The first mistake that most people would assume Romeo made was requesting Friar Laurence to marry him and Juliet “Hence will I to my ghostly friar’s close cell,/ His help to crave and my dear hap to tell” (II,ii,191-192). Romeo’s supposed mistake is rushing into the idea of marriage and that’s how he messes up, but this action would not have been a mistake if it weren’t for Friar Laurence who agrees to marry them in secrecy. The second misconception about Romeo is that it’s his fault that Tybalt and Mercutio died, and it is true that Romeo says “Either thou or I, or both, must go with him” (III,i,91), before killing Tybalt. Although if Friar Laurence had never married Romeo and Juliet, Romeo would’ve stood up for himself against Tybalt and at least one death could’ve been avoided.
Friar Laurence is to blame as well because if he would have went and told Romeo personally about the plan which was to put Juliet to sleep for 42 hours and when she woke up Romeo was to be there at her side. If Friar Laurence wasn 't lazy Romeo 's death could have been avoided. Next, Friar Laurence would have went into the Monument with Juliet waiting for Romeo instead of showing up after; Romeo would have not assumed that Juliet was dead and then proceed to kill himself. Friar had the chance to fix the previous mistake of not talking to Romeo face to face. I say that because when he found out that the letter didn 't get to Romeo he should have went to the Tomb where Juliet was and sat there with her until she awakened and explained to her what happened and sat together waiting for

This theme is very important to all humanity because you can trust someone and be loyal so much, but if one thing goes wrong it could all come back and hurt you in the
This scene is when Romeo and Juliet go to get married by Friar Lawrence. Before they get married, Friar has a conversation with Romeo regarding his sudden change in demeanor, as only a day before, he was depressed over Rosaline’s rejection of him. This scene serves to further develop Romeo’s character in the same way as Quote 2, as a lover who has moved on so quickly.
