Guilty for the Murder of two young lovers The love of two minors who knew nothing of their past status, which was an innocent love with no harm intended, was destroyed by the mind of one being. You may ask yourself, how could such passion be destroyed? Well, this true love of two enemies was seized by one man. The suicides of Romeo and Juliet were caused by one individual who must be put on trial and proven guilty, at once. Friar Lawrence is responsible for the tragic death of two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, due to his support of their marriage, the way he convinced them to pursue his plans, and how he reassured them into choosing his strategies. In the play of Romeo and Juliet, Friar devises a plan for Juliet which would allow her to secretly escape the wedding, planned for her a paris to get married, and be with Romeo. His plan is for her to go home and tell her father that she will marry Paris. That night she will then ask to be left alone in her room, without the nurse, and drink the vial given to her by Friar. This vial will make her seem dead, but instead, it will put her to sleep for 42 hours. She will not be able to marry Paris, now that she is “deceased”. Romeo will then meet her in the tomb, where the rest of the lifeless Capulets lie. When she wakes, they will run off to Mantua together, leaving both families without the knowledge of their departure (Shakespeare 993). Friar created an entire arrangement in order to keep Romeo and Juliet together. If he had not given her the potion, to fake her death, Juliet would have been forced to marry Paris, by her father. They would have been separated and without the plan, Romeo would have never received the false news of Juliet's death, leading not only him but Juliet to take her own life.
