One-sided Views In the United States of America, men and women do not have fair rights and privileges. In many different scenarios, men and women have faced the unfairness that society brings. It has caused an uproar that still takes place today and needs fixing. Society has different views on each gender which causes all of the injustice that we see today. In Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird the society of Maycomb have their unfair views on women and men; which convey the injustice towards both genders. In almost every single sport, men get paid more than women. Having one gender with a higher pay than another clearly shows unfairness towards women. Most of the unfairness towards women is because of society’s view on them. For instance, in basketball, “The average NBA player earned $7.9 million a year, according to RunRepeat, which crunched salaries from 2021-2022. Griner (WNBA Player), in contrast, has a base salary of $227,900, some 40 times lower” (Hope). This shows a huge inequality of rights and privileges towards women. The fact that women have it harder to find a good job and sustain their family more than men shows the unfairness between the two genders. Unfortunately, this happens because of the view that society has on women and men. For the past generations, “Women are treated as an inferior creature” (Unknown), and society views men as machines to work hard and to provide for women. Thus, men have it easier to sustain a job to provide for their families. The position of jobs for women show another instance of women facing unfair rights. Not only have women faced obstacles in order to work for a high-paying job, but society views women as “casual workers.” Because of this, “governments do not invest in infrastructure and health care systems that benefit women” (Aita). The fact that governments will refuse to pay health care for women clearly shows the unfairness towards them. If women want to provide for their family by working in high paying jobs, it will be difficult. Not only will
