Growing up in a Jewish family which is not necessarily religious wasn’t a challenge but now it has become one. My family all believe in the god that all Jews believe in however I do not. I believe that there is a god out there but not necessarily the Jewish one, the Christian one, the Muslim one or any one specifically. I believe that no one should be persecuted because of which god they believe in. I want to experience and try different religions and then decide for myself which religion I want to follow but my parents always say I must marry Jewish but what if I don’t want to? I want to marry someone who I love and not care about their religion. I want to think about love first and then religion, not the other way around. I believe in all religions, I believe that everyone should believe in different gods, idols or even nature. Everyone should believe in what they want to. I do not necessarily believe in the Jewish God but I respect any other person that does and I also respect people that believe in other gods or do not even believe in a higher power. The one person who has made me who I am today is my late grandfather who was a great veterinarian. I have followed in his footsteps and also want to become a veterinarian.
