The Keirsey Temperament Sorter was designed for us to do a self-assessed personality questionnaire to help us understand ourselves and others. It is a 70-question test designed to measure temperament. Dr. David Keirsey created the test and according to him, mankind has four basic temperaments; the Artisan, the Guardian, The Rational and the Idealist.
The Artisan has the temperament to naturally excel in anything they do. For example, the arts, music and business, just to name a few. Artisans are fun loving, optimistic, realistic and focused on the here and now according to Keirsey.
The Guardian’s temperament is described as serving and having a natural talent in managing or supervision. According to Keirsey, all Guardians share the one core characteristic of one who pride themselves on being dependable, helpful and hardworking.

The Big Five test wanted to see how you rated on five major dimensions of personality. These dimensions are, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, Extraversion, Openness and Neuroticism. The results stated that I have the Extroversion personality. Extroversion personalities are sociable, talkative and love to be the center of attention. These results are somewhat true for me, but not entirely. This test asked you eighty-six questions and gave you five answers to choose from. This is compared to Keirsey’s test, which, asked you seventy questions and gave you two answers to choose from. Keirsey’s test was more on point than the Big Five because it narrowed your choices. Both tests are useful in the social setting but not in the professional setting. I believe Keirsey’s test is simpler and more accurate compared to The Big Five, which is long and has too many
