Kindness is one trait every individual desires to be treated with by others. It is , after all, the state of warm welcoming that helps us assimilate in a society. Besides, no one likes the feeling of getting rejected by a particular group based on their different backgrounds, culture, physique and/or experiences. The only way that perhaps heels this rejection ,due to the difference's in an individual, are the acts of when an another individual presents and treats others with their acts of benevolence. This act then also sheds a new light on an other individual's perspective, and gives them the knowledge to assert what they think is right for them to obtain their objectives.
Kindness is often overlooked in society yet it still manages to hold a great deal importance in the lives of many. Kindness is an empowering emotion that can change perspectives and alter destinies. In The Glass Roses by Alden Rowan the true importance of kindness is personified throughout the story. In the story Stephen is encapsulated by the kindness of his fellow worker and greatly impacts Stephan’s ability to determine his own destiny. The Glass Roses shows that individuals tend to hide their true emotions in order to gain respect from their peers however kindness, once truly unveiled can play a huge role in determining ones destiny.
So constantly being kind and showing those kind emotions can show your character and build a reputation that you can uphold. In his quote, Elie Wiesel stated “Even on the edge of the abyss, it is possible to dream exalted dreams of compassion.” I believe he talked about
Susan Knowlton states that, “Some people simply don't have the same mechanisms for altruism and empathy that most of us do, and this can be a result of accident or of their nature” (Knowlton). This lack of empathy and social knowledge Knowlton describes can easily offend people without trying or meaning to. This behavior can start at anytime for anyone and is not a direct response to a threat.
Surprisingly, some treated the acts of kindness as jokes. Everyday I ride the bus with one of my friends named Andres. During the acts of kindness I decided to be more serious with him and give him real advice rather than tease or fool around. We were talking about his relationship with his girlfriend, and I suggested that he could make it last
In this set of materials, the listening passage challenges the points made in the reading passage. The reading passage basically states that altruism is a behavior type which presents sharing a food or other type of feature with other members of the group without expecting any reward for it. The passage points out that an example of this type of phenomena in human’s society is a donation of an organ. This behavior is seen in the animal’s reign as well.
You see, the human brain is actually wired to be generous and amiable to others because, without other human beings, no one would be able to learn, act, and survive as a human being. Making friends, trusting others and being able to have others trust you, is the only way to survive, and having the ability to empathise with another person, have concern for their well-being, understand them and what they’re going through, especially if you’re both hurting and suffering, can cause you to
People will be a lot less selfish when act of kindness goes around because they can learn from people around them that, if we all help out each other we can make this world a better place. Being nice to someone is like domino effect; when person being nice to someone and that person will pass down that act of kindness to someone else. I personally love to give compliment to people because I feel like I am encouraging that person and also knowing that someone is pleased because of what I said to them. Complimenting, smiling or holding doors for people are few of the ways you can help makes people days better, take a few seconds of your day to help out someone can change people views on the society. As a result, act of kindness encourages people to become more selfless and helps people see the big picture.
Friendship is founded on a common moral ground. Cicero claims that “[of] all bonds of fellowship, however, none is more pre-eminent or enduring than the friendship forged between good men of like character” (20). Friendship grows out of a mutual goodness. Mutual goodness thus results in mutual generosity because generosity “is apportioned to each recipient according to his worth” (17). If it is human nature to want to surround one’s self with those who are of good moral standing, it should be simple to share kindness with our friends faithfully.
Expanding kindness to all things is the trickiest part. But it can be done. Saunders mentions the most respectable names in history as an example of kindness like Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Shakespeare. Kindness is what saves each of us. Each of us can recall the random act of kindness that was done to each of us.
Kindness is the act of going out of your way to be kind or nice to someone or showing a person that you care. At the same time, it’s not just about being nice to someone, but also about showing sympathy and understanding. For many people, acts of kindness are done without expecting anything in return. Kindness is, unfortunately, something that you don’t see that often anymore. This makes it important that we remind each other, and ourselves, that we should be kind to one another.
Throughout the history, there have been heated discussions on what constitutes a good life. Philosophers have given different annotations on the meaning of good life based on their beliefs, perspectives or even scientific-based evidences. Some view a good life as an accumulation of material goods that brings “large amount” of pleasure to oneself. On the other hand, Mencius and Aristotle advocate good life as possessing of pleasure that incorporates ethical values and they believe that by doing so one will experience enduring happiness. There is no ultimate right or wrong for these interpretations since this is not a factual question.
What is life’s most extraordinary pleasure? For many, money, power, and/or fame come to mind, and the idea of helping others does not register. It seems for every person eager to help, there are millions ready to hurt or disregard those in need. Nevertheless, the world is not beyond salvation; there are numerous individuals willing to give their time and labor to transform the world into a better place for all. These devoted people are volunteers, and they believe life’s most extraordinary pleasure is the joy of helping others.
To start with, individuals have positive attitudes instead of insensitivity about helping to show their care and sympathy to others. When ones are pleased to assist, they tend to take attention to the person in distress and willing to give a helping hand to them. According to Time, Payne, Gainey (2011) and Samaritan survey (2015), most respondents agree that they will help because the moral thing to do. It reflects they recognize assisting is moral and the behavior of turning a blind eye as socially improper. Obviously, most seem to be voluntary to serve the needs.
Then you do one thing and it makes them realize there is still good in the world. That is why I think it is amazing to help anyone you can no matter who they are.
