Service Learning Reflection Report

This service learning subject collaborative care in school health and safety consist different component for students to learn. We have lectures, presentations, online learning and group consultation. We are divided into groups for a unique service and the group members are from at least two different departments. In this reflective journal, I will first describe and express my feelings toward the whole learning process in this subject then the following will be my evaluation and reflection towards this whole learning process. Among this subject, I will choose several remarkable gains to elaborate in depth. At the beginning of this subject, we are divided into groups and my group consist of eight people which five of them belong to the Department of Logistics and Marine Studies, one belongs to the School of Accounting and Finance, one belongs to the School of Nursing and I am from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. I am responsible for the test of cardio-respiratory function which require me to learn the use of peak flow rate meter. Moreover, I need to set up some questions as quiz in the talk and questionnaire for better understanding to their health habit As the service day are coming closer, the school rearrange the planned service day and time. We can only practice our service on Friday afternoon. As the newly arranged time is not enough, only about total six hours for direct contact with students, we have to cancel the talk and only do health assessment of blood pressure and cardio-respiratory function for form one student. I admit that I feel a bit frustrated at that moment because our prepared material and activities cannot be fully presented.
