Simon Birch Eulogy Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. We are all gathered here today to look back on the life of someone who had a place in all of our hearts. We are here to honor the life of Simon Birch. Simon was a great kid. He had his ups and for sure downs in his lifetime. Anyway I’m here to share the moments that made Simon who he is. One of Simon’s best qualities was his determination for others. No matter who it was, Simon always made room to help everybody in need. Once he had a situation with a friend, or family member he would not give up until it was finished. You don’t find many people like that at all. I remember the time when he helped a little kid that went to our school when we all went to that third grade retreat. We were loading all the third graders on to a bus but we were missing one. Simon was severely sick that day, but he really wanted to help a kid who was nervous about it. He talked him through it and the kid ended up jumping onto the ride. Personally, this was my favorite thing about Simon. Simon and I got into a lot of trouble. We had many moments together, breaking into the PE teacher’s office to find a baseball, the Christmas Pageant…. oh the Christmas pageant! That was definitely one of his most trouble making moments. The Christmas Pageant was a great night but terrible all at the same time. Simon was baby Jesus, and I was a Shepherd. Simon was sitting in the crib that he was placed in, and once the play had started, Marjorie Albright was doing her act when all of a sudden… Simon did what no one expected… Simon grabbed Marjorie Albright’s breasts. Yep this all happened. I ended up getting punched in the face at one point! I was just protecting Simon. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Anyway enough about me. Let’s go back to
