All throughout history and in the book we see that a revolution succeeds more often than not, and the new government or country is founded around the revolutionary leaders likings. While having a country created however I like it would be nice, I would try and play a leading role in a revolution just to leave my mark on history, even if I had to die for it. Q: As shown in the book, corruption of the original French government, and corruption of the new government both lead to problems for the characters in the novel. Are all governments destined to become corrupt at some point and what governments can we see that are corrupt in today’s world. A: All governments are destined to become corrupt at some point or another, or at least experience small scale corruption. Small scale corruption is so common most people don’t even recognize it as corruption. In the United States today millions of dollars are transferred between government and non-government agencies in exchange for services, whether that be getting the favor of a congressman, or trying to get a lawsuit dropped, they all count as corruption. Many citizens of extremely successful countries refuse to believe their could ever be corruption within the government. This is because high population countries with profitable governments develop a “too big to fail” mindset and are unprepared when corruption begins. Aside from the U.S., other notable countries experiencing corruption are England, France, Russia, China, South Korea, North Korea, and
