Stereotypes in the Media “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?” - President Donald Trump

Above are harsh words spoken from our newly elected president, Donald Trump. Trump is speaking about Carly Fiorina, the Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett Packard, more formally known as HP. But why would such a man say such a thing? After all, he is now our president. However, what does this say about women? What impression do women get from this?

For our children, this is seen as a problem. Not in our children’s eyes exactly, but for the ones who have to watch them sexualize women. Children can now grow up thinking it’s okay to say stuff like that, considering their president will be on the television. Good, right? Not at all.

Growing up, children learn manners. These manners include saying things like, “Yes ma’am,” to women. Now, since our government is seen saying things like, “Michelle Obama, her project is obesity. And look at her big butt,” our children might think it’s perfectly fine to forget our manners towards a woman who has a ”big butt.” …show more content…

Well for many, it's not good. On a website called MarketWatch (a site that tells news about the stock market), there is an article named “Opinion: Donald Trump’s Sexist Views Harm Your Kids.” This article is about how Trump’s remarks are creating a new breed of children, children who accept stereotyping women. There is a quote on the website in bold letters that
