First and foremost, Civil Injunction is a court order requiring a person to do or cease doing a specific action. One of the examples of civil injunction is Temporary Restraining Order or TRO. Temporary restraining order is issued by the court magistrate to the victim. Meanwhile, community policing is enforced by law enforcement to deter crimes and arrest criminals.

According to the Case Study, Civil injunction either requires or limits certain actions by the defendants, and in this case, the injunction served as a protection order for the entire city. Therefore, the city was allowed to sue individual NSP gang members. This time is about few months’ operation to finally continue with the plan, capture the gang members. Meanwhile, police department gathered information and evidence used against the street gang.
According to the text, many communities are in need of the potential benefits of the model are themselves characterized by crime, disorder, and mistrust of the police, making it very hard to successfully implement community. As for NSP, violence is power and reputation to gain over with other street gangs.
