There have been an immeasurable amount of people who have changed this world for the better, some of them even have their own holiday to show appreciation for what they have done. These holidays are there to make sure that their actions never go unforgotten such as martin luther king day, columbus day, or george washington and abraham lincoln, these leaders and key figures have all done some thing that has changed the course of history for the better. They were all involved in civic participation they exercised their rights as a person to make a difference in the world. Their is someone in my book who i believe has done a task so great and immense that she too deserve a holiday to celebrate the achievements, and change that she has done for this world. He name is Katherine G. Johnson, and he showed that women are good for more than wearing a dress and looking pretty and taking care of the kids at home we have brains as well she did this by showing to the scientist at nasa that she indeed knows what she is talking about and with her help and work on the nasa apollo 11 mission they were able to put a man on the moon. This change that she enacted was based off a love that she was born with and instant connection that she had from the beginning.
