This is an example of flat organisational structure as there is no middle management. The organisational structure of Macmillan Is split up into 6 different sections. The first and most important sector is the chief executive whose job it is to make the big decisions and to manage the major operations and resources of the company and finally acting as the main communicating point between board of directors and corporate operations, and then there is a board of trustees that the chief executive rely on to help them with the important decisions.
Organization The organizational structure for MediSense is in the traditional business model, as demonstrated in Appendix A, with the Founder, President, and CEO Steven Lipps. In my assessment Bison is fairly clear with respect to their organizational structure. Their structure vertically connects every job in the company to a higher level of management. When you view this structure it is clear of who reports to whom. For example seen on Bison’s organizational chart (ORG) provided, the CEO directly reports to the Owner Mr. Jessiman. The CEO holds the span of control and the authority to delegate line of authority to specific level s of management, for example you can see the Director of Business Development and Logistics, directly reports to the Vice President of Logistics and Multi Modal.
A good example is Outpatient Cardiovascular Services. This department is grouped an APRN, RNs, CV Technicians, Echo Technicians, and Secretaries. They all have a specialized task when it comes to the patient’s they see; even though their jobs may have a slightly different scope-of-practice they all specialize in the heart and have shared characteristics which is aiding in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases. This is also an example functional departmentalization. Functional departmentalization is when the department combine jobs that have some shared characteristics (Gibson, Ivancevich, Donnelly Jr., & Konopaske,
The most recent organization I was employed with was the El Paso County Juvenile Justice Department which used a combination of hierarchical and matrix organizational structures. Juvenile Probation is just one department under El Paso County’s Organizational Chart. However, the Juvenile Probation Department has its hierarchical chart that consists of the top executives; Chief of Probation, Deputy Chief of Probation, Chief of Operations, Chief of Accounting, and Financial Operations. Afterward, each of the above executives had unit Directors for each unit of this department. Subsequently, below the unit Directors, there were unit Seniors who would oversee and delegate the objectives to the front-line management, and the Team Leaders, who
The Canadian Armed force play a crucial role within the Canadian government and its success. They may have one of, if not the most important role of protecting Canadian and its citizens. This leaves the Canadian Armed Forces needed a direct and effective organizational structure to ensure their continued success. Since the inauguration of the Canadian Armed Forces, they have operated using the traditional or classic organizational structure. At the time it was the only way organizations operated but as time has gone on and organizational structures have evolved, the Canadian Armed Forces has elected to stay with the traditional organizational structure for the many advantages it gives them (Kerzner, 2013).
In 2002, the SEC adopted new rules and amendments to address public companies’ disclosure or release of certain financial information that is calculated and presented on the basis of methodologies other than in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The accrual accounting is more popular and be widely used in business world because it produces more accurate and faithful financial statements that constitute better representation of actual circumstances than its main competitors. The major weakness of accrual accounting is that there is some time issue such like the time of occurred and time of recorded would probably be different and it increases the risk of financial information and the risk of correctness. Also, the accrual accounting generally cost more to operate compared with cash accounting
I really enjoyed the class discussion about their different job organization. I will like to discuss my job organization structure. My past job Publix we used a departmentalization organizational structure. Publix is an employee owned supermarket. We are departmentalization organizational structure because we are separated by product and service.
Analysis • This section is regarded as the most critical step in writing an effective accounting memo by bringing together the required facts of the research, any supporting authoritative literature, and an accountants overall evaluation before forming a conclusion. • Analysis includes information from relevant guidance, along with an accountant’s own words about how the guidance is applicable. • The memo should contain enough authoritative guidance that the user will not need to perform additional research in the Codification. • Make sure to utilize the concept known as the “guidance sandwich.”

As such there is an extensive organizational chart which is segregated in accordance to province, suggesting grouping by market or geography.
