There are some inappropriate behaviours that can be controlled during teaching and learning process, and teachers need a good plan and strategies that was practiced by many professionals in order to understand the behaviour of students and manage them properly. For beginner teachers, theories and models made by many behavioural psychologists like B.F. Skinner, Canter, Dreikurs and Glasser has helped them to get through the rough day in managing students’ behaviours.

There are some students that misbehave simply because they seek attention from the elders. In schools, gaining extra attention from the teachers can give them many emotional boost or gaining benefits that they can misuse. Seeking attention is the most common form of misbehaviour, teachers often meet a situation where students do inappropriate actions or using foul words in order to attract the teacher’s attention. First, the teacher needs to acknowledge their own appearance and body language during teaching and learning process. Adopting a professional appearance is very important. For the beginner teachers, first impressions from the students count because they will assess them from the moment they see the new teachers. Hence, if their appearances suggest that that they are a professional and serious, sincere, and enjoy teaching, students will be able to see this message through the teacher’s appearances and respect them for what they are.
