Physical development This is process that start in a person initial stages of life and its persist up to adulthood, that concentrate on fine (small), gross (big), motor skill and puberty. This includes development control over the body like the muscle and physical management. All of these skills take time to develop but as a child practices they begins to coordinate both small and big movement. Babies 0-2: New born babies have very little control over their bodies, however as they get older they advance into movement and action that is call ‘gross motor skill’ like grabbing, sitting, crawling, rolling, standing and walking. Communication and intellectual development Children communication and intellectual skill we usually develop with them as they grow older, mostly this will depend on their own experience and the opportunities they are given from the very early age. Babies 0-12 months: starts listening to all words been said to there but with little understanding of it however, they can communication using: • pre-linguistic language- use vegetative sounds, cooing and laughter, vocal play and babbling • non-verbal language – crying, facial expression and whole-body movement. 1-2 years: As they grow older they slowly start to use linguistic and verbal language to communicate were they can put words together to make a statement. By 3-4 children have started to make full statement and use plurals in their speech, even though they will make mistakes when speaking. 4-10 years: Children are now more social and have broader experiences. They start to ask lot of questions and wanting to talk about everything like things from the pass and around them with more confidence. They will start to learn how to
