B. Explain two reasons for the increase in Muslim immigration to one of these countries since 1950. There are various reasons for the increase in Muslim immigration in France during the 1950s. Within this time period, a vast amount of Muslims migrated to Europe due its enticing factors. People from LDCs such as Africa migrated to a stable MDC such as Europe. France provides a vast amount of economical opportunities. During that time period, Europe was experiencing a low unemployment rate. People took an advantage of this fact and moved there endeavoring to find themselves jobs, hopefully with higher pay compared to their home country. During this time especially, a vast amount of jobs are available. The welfare state created many job opportunities in what was seen as women’s work.
