Who was to blame for Romeo and Juliet's death? I say, Lord and Lady Capulet. Lady Capulet was never there for Juliet, either. I do not think they should have tried to make Juliet marry Pars. After they told her and Pairs that he was still younger and wanted her to wait a little bit. He said to wait 2 summers. If they didn't make her, I feel Juliet wouldn’t have taken the sleeping position, causing Romeo to kill himself, followed by Juliet. Romeo and Juliet would have stayed alive if Juliet was not required by her parents to marry Paris. I think my opinion is reasonable because when Romeo and Tybalt fought it was because Tybalt killed Mercutio. So he fought Tybalt for a good reason. The Capulets didn’t see it for a good reason. They said Romeo should be dead. In Act III, scene II, Lady Capulet said, “I beg for justice, which thou prince must give, Romeo slew Tybalt; Romeo must not live.” She didn’t look at both sides because they both lost someone, but she was being selfish about it. Then she talked to Juliet about marrying Paris. Juliet told her she didn’t want to. Lady Capulet responded by telling her she could talk to her father about it. When she talked to him about it, he told her that if she didn’t marry him, he would not claim her as his daughter anymore and throw her in the streets (Act III, scene V paragraphs 189-195). So she had no other choice but to marry him or she would have gotten thrown out to the streets.
