I think that the star-crossed lovers died because of the decisions that they made. If they had made better choices and not done some of the things that they did. I think it would have ended differently and even better, maybe they would have still been alive. Romeo and Juliet dying did clear the enemies that they had, but it could have gone a completely different way if they didn’t do some of the things that they did. When Romeo and Juliet met at the party, they didn’t know that their families hated each other and that was fine, but whenever they did, they were sneaky about meeting each other and didn’t tell their parents about anything. They should have kept it a secret. I think it would have been better if they were to be more open about …show more content…
When they were fighting and Romeo was about to pull Mercutio away, Tybalt stabbed Mercutio, who would soon die. Moments before Mercutio he said “A plague o’ both your houses! I am a sped. Is he gone, and hath nothing?” a few words after that he died. In the next encounter, Romeo saw Tybalt. Romeo drew his sword and fought Tybalt because he killed his friend, and Romeo ended up killing Tybalt. Now because Romeo killed Tybalt, Lady Capulet found out she hated Romeo for killing her cousin. She even said, “Romeo slew Tybalt; Romeo must not live.” Now because Romeo killed Tybalt, Lady Capulet hates him and even wants to kill him. If only Romeo hadn't killed Tybalt and just grieved his friend's death, he would still have had a chance for the Capulet’s to like him. I mean yes his friend was killed but that doesn't mean you should go around and kill everyone that hurts your friends or family. I think Mercutio would have gotten justice because he said that he didn’t want any more fighting between the two families, but also Mercutio did draw his sword first. I just think that no one should have fought anyone, especially Romeo, because that only made things worse for him. Also, if Tybalt was alive, Juliet might not have had to marry Paris because the reason that Capulet allowed to get married was because he thought that Juliet took his loss …show more content…
Capulet wants Juliet to marry Paris, and they are supposed to get married on Thursday. Juliet of course doesn’t want to marry Paris because she is married to Romeo and she loves him. When she saw that she had no other choice but to marry Paris, she went to Friar Laurence to ask for help on how not to get married to Paris. When she gets there, she starts threatening him, saying that she will kill herself if he doesn’t help her not get married again. Friar Laurence then told her how she would take something and it would make it seem as if she is dead, “And this distilling liquor drink thou off. When presently through all thy veins shall run. A cold and drowsy humor, with no pulse. Shall keep his progress, but surcease. No warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest”. It would all wear off in 40 hours and when she wakes up Friar Laurence and Romeo will be there so that Romeo and Juliet can run away to Mantua. The day before the wedding Juliet took the potion and it worked immediately, in the morning nurse finds Juliet and from there they take Juliet to where all the other dead Capulets are. But one thing that Juliet should have done is that she shouldn’t have just let Friar Laurence send the letter, she could have sent one or had someone else send it for her. Well, Balthasar found out that Juliet was dead and he told Romeo, and of course, like any lover, they grieved the loss
