The next day, I came home from school and found my step-dad in his office. Wondering why he was home, I asked “Aren’t you supposed to be at work?”. “No, was working on something and decided to take a break ”. Once he said that, I too, decided to take a break from my assignment. After spending time away from the project, I went on my patio and began brainstorming a new way to shutdown the program.
The two Superbowl commercials that are persuasive are the Skittles commercial and the Turbo Tax commercial. The Skittles commercial was about a boy that was throwing Skittles through a girls window. While he was throwing them through her window, she was catching the Skittles in her mouth. When the girl was done catching the Skittles, her family came in and sat down in a line and they started catching the Skittles in their mouths. When one person was done catching the Skittles, everyone would scoot down so the next person could catch them.

Commercials. We all hate them. Television these days have more commercials than the actual show we are watching. But there is one day of the year that people look forward to commercials. It’s the day that the Super Bowl is on.
The Superbowl is one of the most popular sport events in the world. Many people around the nation are watching every year, so they make sure they have attention-catching commercials. Each one is only about 30 seconds long and is funny, sad, scary etc. Since they're promoting themselves during such a big event, they get nearly twice as much money for the ad. Some people only watch the Superbowl just to see the commercials.
By blaring commercials like this, one cannot think. Every time they attempt to do so, the volume of the ads overpowers them and causes them to lose their train of thought and the ability to remember. “The people were pounded into submission:they did not run, there was no place to run” (Bradbury 75). The people in power have intentionally chosen train stations to essentially brainwash people and cause them to be restricted in the amount of knowledge and memories they have. (STEWE-2) Society additionally destroys the formation of memories by forcing people to no longer participate in activities that they would remember later in their lives.
There were numerous of insanely and outlandish commercials during the Super Bowl of 2015. Most of the commercials would have to advertise sex, kids, animals, or randomness in order to appeal audience. Then there are ads like the Dodge commercials. It sends a message that needs to be sent - respect wisdom. Social media can be cruel and demeaning, especially to elderly people.

However, this caused a lot of controversy on whether the ban was good or bad. Despite the amount of people supporting the ban´s choice, the ban does have some downsides on it. It is not a good idea to limit the amount of a soda a person can purchase (or propose the ban) because it's not applying to all, it's taking rights away from people, and itś not a big deal.
However, they should not be allowed to target the consumers themselves on television, only though physicians. This would drastically reduce over prescribing and patients being prescribed drugs they do not need. By banning drug and narcotic advertising, this would infringe the corporation’s rights to free speech. This has been one of the top argument for why legislation should not be passed, as seen in the lawsuit by Arimin against the FDA. This is a very strong argument as it has constitutional backing.

The television has dramatically changed since its invention in the 1920's, the first commercials were aired in 1940, and the television has played a pivotal role in human society. Everyday we see different types of ad such as display ads, radio commercials, and TV commercials. According to the author 's, so many commercials are mental polluting. There is no place to hide from advertisements are found everywhere such as buses, billboards, stadium, gas station, countryside, etc. I agree with the author point of view.

Stress has become a major issue for high school students. Many students have seven classes, participate in sports, have after school activities, homework, and need to get an adequate amount of sleep each night. Some parents and outside influencers don’t see the benefits of having a longer lunch period for high school students. Students complain about how long school is now but they don 't have enough time outside of school to complete everything they are expected to. While it is understandable that some parents wouldn’t want longer lunches because it could result in safety issues and students having to remain in school 30 minutes longer than the traditional time, longer lunches would give students a chance to complete homework, get help from teachers, and eat a nutritious meal.
