In the modern world everyone need wide range of skills to live in the new society, workplace skills are those skills to help you maintaining and creating an efficient, productive, professional and safe workplace. According on ASTD (American Society for Training & Development) and U.S. Department of Labour study showed the skills you need in the workplace keep changing thought the technology, but the workplace skills still are the most important skills for anyone who work in the engineering field, actually for any field.

According on the study by Siemens Enterprise Communications of the current society many people in workplace spend over 17 hours of a week to clarifying communication, that translates to annual cost of $530,000. The reason behind it is due to people misunderstanding, fail following the task and there are also productivity losses, every year cumulative cost up to $26,000 or higher per worker just because the communication barriers alone (Marie-Claire Ross. 2014, para
