Because her family didn’t have enough money to sway Mariela into staying she moved in with her aunt and began work as a live-in domestic worker. Part of the money Mariela made working was sent back to her family to support them financially. Because Mariela’s brother, Eduardo, got a job and was able to support their family with his work, Mariela moved back home. When Mariela moved to Cancun to work as a live-out domestic servant, she was able to convince her parents to let her stay.
Since the beginning of history, there have always been heros. Many different stories have been passed down and shared over the years. Heros come and go but the enduring qualities we look for in a hero does not. Although two different types of heroes may have nothing in common, the qualities that give them the name “hero” stay the same. Ancient greek heros and heros today get the name by being brave and determined, but unlike todays heros, Ancient Greek heroes get their qualities from the cruel behaviors they engaged in, like Odysseus.

School Should Start Later A recent poll conducted by the National Sleep Foundation found that 60% of children under the age of 18 complained of being tired during the day, according to their parents, and 15% said they fell asleep at school during the year. This proves that kids aren’t getting enough sleep before school. I believe that a later middle school start time would have many beneficial effects on kids. As a result, kids would be more focused in class because they would be getting more sleep, that would lead to better grades, and finally reduced absenteeism.

Should Struggling Students Go To Summer School “I do not need to go to summer school!” Many kids will say this to you because they feel like they don’t need to go. There are multiple reasons why a student could be struggling in school, they could have personal problems at home or they are just not understanding the material.
