Overall, the book is a great read, even for those who do not enjoy
It’s a really good book to read, because it will change the view that we have as citizens, living us with many questions without answer for the
Gender roles are timeless stereotypes that belong in the 1950s, yet sixty years later they still exist. Even today, gender roles are still prevalent and simply change to fit new adaptations of society, but have become less stressed over time. In the two literary pieces, In the Time of the Butterflies and Othello, men control women in some way whether it be as their father, husband, or a man of acquaintance. Both pieces illustrate that a woman's place in society is thought of as being subordinate to a man’s, which causes women to feel inferior to men, and also to seek their approval.
Overall, this is a very interesting book and is not hard to read at
He explains what tenses to use when facing three main issues: blame, values, and choices. He also teaches how to make your audience attentive, receptive, and more trusting. There are so many more skills that Heinrichs teaches us, but parents may question what this book will teach children. The reading level for this book is 7.0 meaning it can be read by a seventh grader to a college student. Seventh grade is the time where teenagers start to fight back with parents and they are usually unsuccessful, which is a good thing depending on the circumstances.
The book's simple vocabulary makes it suitable for younger ages,
It is unsuited for school age group. Besides, this book uses offensive words such as fuck, asshole, nigger and pussy etc. For example, in the book Arnold admits about masturbation “If there were a Professional Masturbator League, I’d get drafted number one and make millions of dollars” (Alexie 26). For this reason, the book is not appropriate for middle schools. For children, they are not capable enough to absorb these kinds of information from the book.
To some people it is not. Some teachers say that the book is challenging for students. Now, this novel may be difficult for students, but that is how students learn new information. If students weren’t to have read harder pieces of literature all throughout their schooling career, they would stay at the same level of reading for most of their life. The reason why students should read more challenging novels are because they learn new things, and they could also learn how to act in a certain situation based on the type of challenging story they read.
This is a chapter book so it could be used for beginner readers. It is a longer book with moor words and chapters but is still an easer read. The topic of the bool is about a blind girl who overcomes her challenges and becomes a success. This book is a good book for 7-9 year olds. They have the reading skills to read the book along but also have the mind to understand what it's about with some help.
To read this novel today it still shouldn 't be taught today, there are good but old lessons. We should be learning about new lessons, not old ones we can 't relate
It is a very "understandable" book often making metaphors in every chapter. At first I misunderstoood the title , but after reading the first chapter I understand it and it makes a lot of sense in comparisson to the book. This book's only flaw is the bad page-arrangement . I feel like it could have been donle better
To begin, i believe this book should be taught in school because it holds a lot of great life lessons like: Don't judge someone until you have walked in there shoes, don't judge
There are many reasons why every 7th grader should read “Treasure Island.” The first reason is that the book had a great story and adventure with Jim and the other pirates. There was a lot of action in the book during the hunt for the treasure. Another reason is that the book had many parts that made it exciting. Many people died throughout the adventure on the island and this could make 7th graders want to read more.
Since the publication of the text there has been a lot of controversy about whether or not students should read the text in middle school or high school.
People love this book for a plethora of reasons, but the main reason I come to find is the wisdom laced into every theme, and quotes that will send you deep
