Purpose of the Article In the article “Exploring the perception of the Potential” the purpose that the authors James Mensch, PhD, and Murray Mitchell, PhD was to inform the reader about the insight regarding the undergraduate students decision to enter or not enter athletic training programs. The article also informs us of examples of potential athletic training recruit perception and the roles and responsibilities of athletic trainers. This Article tries to inform us and show us contributing factors which appear to influence the recruitments of students to a career in athletic training field. Specific Aims Throughout the article “Exploring the perception of Potential” specific aim in this article was to show the success of the academic program called athletic training. The article goes into depth of the profession and shows the view in which people still wondering what career opportunities Athletic Training has to offer. The article also aim to show and demonstrate the employing a ground theory. The points that were made in this article were to inform possibilities and thoughts to the college students that have interest in Athletic Training. The study shows result of the strong affliction Athletic Trainers have with the major sports teams and models. The results also showed the initial exposure at the high school level while being a trainer for high school sports. Throughout the article they did show that the results only showed so much information and theories in which can be used for the recruitment in the profession.
