The Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference
In June of 2015 I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Illinois. During this event, I had the chance to learn from world class speakers and attend valuable seminars. I also contended 24 teams of FBLA student representing the best in the nation at the national Lifesmarts competition. The FBLA National Leadership Conference was a valuable experience that enhanced my perspective on life both academically and personally.
To my surprise, the conference that I attended proved to be more than a fun field trip. The Lifesmarts event that I participated in provided me with the opportunity to attain skills and knowledge that would help foster my academic and personal growth. I spent time with students from all over the country and professionals from several business fields. I had the opportunity to speak about my prospective business goals and network with 12,000 other pupils with the same goals in mind. Meeting motivated students from all over the country expanded my perspective and understanding of our similarities and differences from state to state. In conjunction with students, I spoke first hand with business professionals such as Jason Lucash. From these conversations and seminars, I learned about starting your own business and creating innovative products. Adding value to this, all of the educators were successful entrepreneurs, some even pitched products on shark tank. As a result, I streamlined my collegiate goals and understand more about myself. I am now confident networking and learning with people of all ages, professions, and geographic
