Congratulations! You have been accepted for membership in the Exceptional Leaders Honor Society. ELHS members are recognized for their remarkable leadership, character, service, and responsibility. It is a great honor to be one of the select students who have been accepted into such an influential organization. Exceptional Leaders Honor Society is an organization that is dedicated to our leadership programs and local community.
I was in National Junior Honor Society in junior high; since then it has been a goal of mine to be in the National Honor Society in high school as well. I love helping others and getting things done when other people are not able to. I am extremely adaptable to any situation I am put in and get along very well with others. I have leadership experience in Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, I am also in a position at my job that gives me a lot of influence and leadership. At work, if people need something they will generally come to me before my boss because 95% of the time I am am able to help them.
The National Honor Society (NHS) stands by such values as Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and character; it is these values that I strive to live by. I have received the opportunity to become a proud member of the NHS, and have been humbled by this chance. Throughout my high school career I try to be involved in anything I can help the school, from being a part of community service activities. Also, I have achieved my goal to work as hard as I possibly can to stand out among my peers. Even outside of school I have worked to uphold the values of club, and shall continue to do so if I chosen.
Many posses the commitment to the qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, but how one uses them shows the core of their disposition. For each of these qualities, there are many traits, useful in a leader, and not. Since it is only my second year as a student at Carlsbad High School, there has not been much time of my being distracted from my school work as I try to be as diligent of a student as possible. However, from time to time, I take a break and do things for the community instead. The students that make up the National Honor Society are extremely dedicated in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, and I would be very grateful to be a part of the standards.
It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
Moreover, I have worked very hard throughout high school to better myself and those around me in the many ways mentioned above. I also serve as a role model, both inside the classroom and out, by pushing myself to accomplish goals even I do not always believe I could, always respecting others and listening attentively to the opinions of people around me, and making an effort to enrich the lives of others. I am hopeful the National Honor Society will help me develop this further, and thank you for taking hte time to read my application.
In order for UGBA 155 Leadership to be classified as the “best class ever” I have cultivated a list of components I anticipate that this class should consist of. Change of Perspective The first component I hope is a part of this class is a change of perspective. In other words, I would like to gain knowledge in the subject of leadership and all the different styles it comes with. In the past, I have not put much thought into leadership as an academic subject and simply acted as a leader when the situation called for it.
The first reason why I should be in National Junior Honor Society is because of my leadership skills. The first example of my leadership skills are applied to my youth group in the Cecilton Parish. I am the treasurer and help with the Ideas for fundraising. We, as a group held a spaghetti dinner for the church and I managed the money and the setting. Pursuing this further, I actively show leadership in school.
It was clearly understood I had to be open and flexible to possibly reshaping my leadership techniques with their program. Nervous, yet excited, I did not know what to expect, especially when they notified the participants they would
Leadership requires broad thinking and this work with Grand City University is helping me expand my thoughts. Buller (2015) wrote extensively about both implementing changes and the necessary consideration for the people involved in those changes. As we went through the second simulation, internal partnerships and mission motivated my decisions. Leaders must address stakeholder concerns if we plan to enter into this or any other form of partnership. University-corporate partnerships have an established history (Ryan & Heim, 1997), which will help us glean insight to make them work for our stakeholders.
To be in National Junior Honor Society you have to have good character, citizenship, service, and leadership. First, I have good character. I take criticism willingly, and I also welcome recommendations. Second, I demonstrate citizenship well. Civic involvement is very important, and I have high regard to freedom, justice, and respect for the American form of government.
I was taught to work hard and never give up. Leadership is also a very important pillar in the National Honor Society. A leader is a person who guides others with their actions or words and influences others in a positive way. I feel that I am a leader in many ways. I participate in many different
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
I want you to think of someone iconic. Someone who truly changed the world for the better. Who do you think of? Maybe you think of Martin Luther King Jr., or maybe Susan B. Anthony. They share a very notable trait.
