"Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury tells a story of a dystopian society where firefighters burn books. Montag, the protagonist of the novel, is a fireman, who just recently discovered the terrible truth about the world he lives in. Montag is now very confused, overwhelmed by emotion, impulsive, and new to being a dystopian protagonist. He then goes to Faber, a retired English professor, to ask for advice and learn more about their society. Faber is old, experienced, wise, calm, and calculating, but very afraid.
