My topic for my ISP is Ray Bradbury’s prediction of a future society in Bradbury’s dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451. In this novel, books are illegal due to the violence it can cause with groups of people. Materialistic items are wanted by populous like fast cars while nature is frowned upon . The populace is dependent on media with people listening to the radio with seashell thimbles and watching the T.V. walls. All of the points sound very similar to what we have today. In this ISU, I will show how aspects of the society in Fahrenheit 451 are similar to our society today. To prove my tentative thesis, I will compare Fahrenheit 451’s society with today’s society and figure out similarities. In doing so, I hope to prove that today’s society
