Of all of the various quotes that I have read in Fahrenheit 451, this particular one stands out to me. This quote indicates that everyone in today’s present society needs to live life to the fullest and embrace every moment they get. No one in this world knows what the future holds, or what’s ahead. Therefore, I believe everyone needs to expect anything to happen at all times and be ready for anything. The quote demonstrates to the readers, and to me, to remain curious in life and discover new things at times. While one’s living may be cut short due to unfortunate situations, everyone needs to live their days like it is their last. Recently over the news, there have been school shootings over the country. It is hard for me to think about, but unfortunately these victims’ lives had been cut short. Sadly in reality, these victims really did drop dead in ten seconds. When they woke up that morning ready to go to school, they had no clue that later that day their lives would be taken away from them. It is hard for me to understand what is happening in schools around the country. This is a major example of why every single person needs to live their days like it is their last. For example, when my parents asked me if I wanted to go on the Israel trip, at first I had to think about it. Then, I said to myself that this is a once in a lifetime trip and I should go because I am only being offered this opportunity only once. There are no guarantees that this will happen again to me. I am trying to seize every moment I get and have zero regrets. In Israel, I will cherish every moment and opportunity I get, so I can enjoy the trip to the fullest.
