Poor economics, attacks from bordering territories, splitting of territories, and dropping morals can all lead to a destruction of an empire. But for the roman empire, they could answer E all of the above.
The constant attacks were a huge impact to the wealth, moral, and overall stability. Which all led to the collapse of the roman empire.
The Romans were surrounded, enclosed, and smothered by Romania, the Yandals, Yithiges, and other various attackers. Constant futile wars drained the empire's supply of money. Which destroyed the economic system. They lost soldiers from the never ending battles and with lives lost morals are sucked dry. “ Because of constant warfare required heavy military spending. It actually was split into a western and eastern half because of the sheer size of the empire. The split was ruled by two emperors, but were separate unless the other half needed support. After perilous fights the eastern section could provide no more support because of the attacks on their own borders. Because the western half now lacked the support they needed, they made the fatal mistake of spending their money on mercenaries for their army. Not only were they most of the time barbarians spies they also were the first to run away. This sent the western half into a complete meltdown. With their money gone, more than half of the cities and towns under barbarian control the surrounding forces let out the finishing
